"Braşov City encourages and supports Brasov Cup tournament organizers and the competition which reached its 7th edition. More than 2,500 children coaches and players from six countries will come to Brasov, which will contribute to the development of sports tourism in Brasov. Moreover, in addition to cultural turism, very important in the race to be European Cultural Capital in 2021, sports tourism is an equally important component that helps us promote the image of Brasov in Europe. We're glad we can be helpful and we wish all participants success", said Adina Durbaca.

Champions League awards and trophies

President of the Organizing Committee of Brasov Cup, Ciprian Jurubescu, said that is very happy for the involvement of Brasov City in supporting the most important tournament in South East Europe: "We thank the City Hall and the Local Council of Brasov, Sports and Youth Department of Brasov City, Zoo Brasov and Brasov Local Police for their help and support. Brasov Cup is an event that is a part of sports tourism and could promote the image of Brasov. We have about 170 teams in the tournament, from 6 countries, amongst them being bands like Ludogorets Razgrad, Debreceni VSC or many clubs from Romanian Liga 1. We offer very substantial prizes, which will consist in replicas of the famous trophy cup that offering Champions League winner and prizes in sports equipment from Joma, worth over 10,000 euros".

Jurubescu also said that an important partner is the Romanian Football Federation "who supports us on all the technical means. Our tournament is top of the list of the Romanian Football Federation Youht Development Program from 2015 to 2020. As last year, FRF officials will attend the matches and the award ceremony and it is possible that the second period, if his schedule permits, to come even the Romanian Fotbal Federation president, Mr. Razvan Burleanu".

"Opportunity for promotion of Brasov"

Director of Sports and Youth Department of Brasov City, Cernica Emilian, said that Brasov Cup is an event that can help develop juvenile sport. "We, as institutionfor youth and sports of Brasov, support the competition with the sports facilities that we have. We are happy to give a helping hand to the organizers, in a project that is very beneficial for the promotion of juvenile sport in Brasov. The presence of a large number of teams from many countries, is a very good opportunity to promote sports tourism, but also the image of Brasov".

Amongst the guests of honor at the press conference was included the bulgarian team's, Chernomorets Balchik, technical director, Emil Todorov, a former top scorer of the championship in neighboring country, active with over 200 appearances in the Premier League in Bulgaria. "We are happy that we can honor for the second consecutive year Jurubescu Ciprian's invitation to participate in Brasov Cup. It is a very strong tournament and will help us a lot. We gladly come to the race and we hope to have an unforgettable experience. All children, parents and our coaches are very happy to be in Brasov, a very beautiful city", said Emil Todorov.

Scouts from top teams

The 2015 edition of Brasov Cup wil host a lot of scouts from top teams in Europe. Arsenal, Inter Milan, VfB Stuttgart, Udinese, Empoli are just a few names of bands that will have representatives in Brasov during the competition, to see the coming talents.

The tournament will begin Thursday, August 13, with group matches in the following age categories: 2003 (11vs11) – Brasovia Sports Base, 2004 – Precizia Sacele Sports Base, 2005 – Metrom Sports base, 2006, 2007 and 2008 – Carpati Sports Base. The Sporting Event of Brasov City - Brasov Cup 2015 is organized by CS Coltea 1920 Brasov and Enjoy Sport's Agency together with City Hall and City Council of Brasov and its partners with the Department for Sport and Youth of Brasov City, Zoo Brasov, Local Police of Brasov and the Romanian Football Federation.
