And here come three examples: Ianis Hagi, Alexandru Mitriță and Cristian Manea. All raised by "Gheorghe Hagi" Academy and all pending transfer or transfered in major championships on the old continent.

Ianis Hagi was in Brasov in 2010, when he won his age category, as captain of his team. A great joy for a junior who has on his shoulders the burden of a huge name in world football. We can say it was a positive impulse for Ianis, who grew up and later came to be one of the youngest players who played in Roomanian First League. He may be inexperienced, but he showed real qualities and talent and even managed to score a goal, despite his tender age. His technique has been appreciated by everyone and brought him numerous offers, fromm important clubs in Europe. Some said that Galatasaray was in pole position for his transfer, but the latest news are saying that there the son of Gheorghe Hagi already has reached a transfer agreement with the famous Serie A team, AC Fiorentina.

Mitriță, also in Italy

If Ianis Hagi is closer to Fiorentina, his colleague, Alexandru Mitriță, has already made steps towards a stronger championship. Thus, Alex signed a few days ago with Pescara, one of the top teams in Italy’s Sere B. Mitriță was also in Brasov Cup with a team from Hagi Academy, showing even then that he’s heading for a bright future. Despite his unimpressing physical, Alex had showned great talent in Romanian Liga 1 last season, when he played many good matches at Viitorul Constanta and scored against some big names in Romania, like Steaua or Dinamo. Moreover, its developments were noted by many agents, so that his passing to one of the top Serie B teams camed natural.

Manea, for Chelsea

Also in Brasov Cup was noticed another student of Gica Hagi: Cristian Manea. Frail, but ambitious at the time when he came at the competition, Cristian allowed since then to foresee his talent, even if he is playing on a post, left back, which does not attract so many atention as footballers from the midline or attack. Sure in his evolutions, Manea has progressed and has become one of the key players in Viitorul Constanta, Hagi’s team form Liga 1. His constance drew attention of the Romanian National team coach, Victor Piturca, who summoned him the for the senior squad. Cristian Manea went to become the youngest player in the history of the Romanian National Team, at the age of just 16 years and 9 months, surpassing a record which dated from 1928 (the match in question was a friendly one between Romania and Albania, played in May 2014 and ended with the victory of the romanians, 1-0). His talent attracted the attention of many bands from Romania and from abroad, but the most interesting were the champions of England, Chelsea, who had already reached an agreement for his transfer.

  • The Council Square, medieval air in the 21st Century

The Council Square is perhaps the most famous landmark of Brasov. She was in the Middle Ages, a place where fairs were organized in Brasov accomodating  both Saxons and Romanians as well as those coming from Hungary. You reached the square by Custom Street (now Muresenilor) and near the road were all sorts of goods for sale.
The Council Hall is the main building in the Council Square.
